Terms of Use
Terms of Use
Effective date: July 29, 2026
1. The Service
MyAsset is a tool that helps users record, organize, and review personal or household financial information. The Service may include local ledgers, backup and restoration, third-party cloud backup, shared ledgers, notifications, and related features.
Reports, exchange rates, budgets, and other information provided by the Service are for bookkeeping and general informational purposes only. They are not investment, tax, legal, accounting, or other professional advice. You are responsible for verifying records and calculations and consulting a qualified professional when appropriate.
2. Eligibility and User Responsibilities
- You must have the legal capacity under applicable law to accept these terms and purchase a subscription. Minors must obtain consent from a legal representative.
- You are responsible for protecting device passcodes, Apple Account credentials, Dropbox credentials, and other sign-in information.
- You must ensure that data you enter, import, back up, or share has a lawful source and does not infringe the privacy or rights of others.
- You may not use the Service for unlawful or fraudulent purposes, to disrupt the Service, to conduct unauthorized security testing or reverse engineering, or to infringe the rights of others, except where expressly permitted by applicable law.
- You should maintain an appropriate independent backup of important data and confirm that it has been preserved before deleting data, changing devices, or canceling a cloud service.
3. Shared Ledgers
Shared ledgers allow a ledger owner to invite friends, family members, colleagues, or other trusted people to use the same ledger. When creating or sharing a ledger, the owner must verify the intended recipients and obtain any consent required to share the relevant financial data.
- Invited participants may be able to view, add, modify, or delete shared ledger data. Actual permissions are determined by the app interface and Apple iCloud and CloudKit mechanisms.
- Changes made by any participant may synchronize to other participants’ devices, including deletions and accidental modifications.
- The ledger owner is responsible for managing participants and the scope of sharing. A participant may lose access after leaving or being removed from the share.
- Shared ledgers require a compatible Apple device, an available iCloud account, a network connection, and an active subscription. Synchronization speed may be affected by the status of Apple services.
- Do not disclose another participant’s sensitive financial information to a third party without consent.
4. Auto-Renewable Subscriptions
Shared ledger features are available only in MyAsset Pro and require a monthly or yearly shared ledger subscription. The price, currency, promotional terms, and subscription period shown by the App Store at the time of purchase apply.
- After you confirm a purchase, Apple will charge your Apple Account.
- The subscription automatically renews at the end of each subscription period unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends.
- Apple may charge the renewal fee within 24 hours before the current period ends.
- You can manage or cancel your subscription in Settings on your Apple device or through your App Store account page.
- Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription. After cancellation, access generally continues through the end of the paid period.
- Refunds, billing disputes, and payment methods are handled by Apple under its rules.
5. Data, Backups, and Third-Party Services
You retain rights in the financial content you create. To provide features you choose to use, the Service may use Apple iCloud and CloudKit, Dropbox, Firebase, Google Mobile Ads, or other third-party services. The availability and data processing practices of those services are governed by their own terms and policies.
Networks, devices, operating systems, and third-party services may experience interruptions, delays, capacity limits, or data conflicts. We use reasonable efforts to maintain the Service but cannot guarantee that synchronization, backup, or restoration will always be uninterrupted or free from data loss.
6. Intellectual Property
Except for user data or where otherwise indicated, the software, interface, graphics, trademarks, and other Service content are owned by the MyAsset developer or other lawful rights holders. These terms grant only a limited, nonexclusive, nontransferable right to use the Service in accordance with App Store usage rules.
7. Changes and Termination
We may update, modify, or discontinue features for security, legal, technical, or operational reasons. If you materially violate these terms, compromise the security of the Service, or infringe the rights of others, we may restrict related features to the extent permitted by law. Paid subscriptions remain subject to Apple’s subscription and refund rules.
8. Disclaimers and Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Service is provided “as is” without a guarantee that it will be error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for a particular purpose. We are responsible for data loss or indirect damages caused by user actions, inadequate backups, device failures, network issues, or third-party services only to the extent required by law. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits consumer rights or liabilities that cannot lawfully be excluded.
9. Apple Terms
When you obtain the Service through the App Store, your use is also governed by the Apple Media Services Terms and Conditions, App Store usage rules, and the Apple Standard End User License Agreement. If these terms conflict with applicable Apple terms that cannot lawfully be modified, those Apple terms control.
10. Governing Law
Except where mandatory consumer protection law in your location provides otherwise, these terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of China (Taiwan). The parties should first attempt to resolve disputes through good-faith discussion. Nothing in these terms limits jurisdiction that cannot lawfully be restricted in advance.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms and will post a new effective date on this page. Where reasonably practicable, material changes will be communicated through the app or this website. Your continued use of the Service after revised terms take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated terms, except where applicable law provides otherwise.
