About MyAsset
Updated: August 5, 2026
Designed for Long-Term Bookkeeping
MyAsset lets you create accounts and ledgers that reflect the way you actually organize finances instead of limiting you to a single category structure. Record income, expenses, and transfers, then review the data by month, account, description, or report. Financial results are for recordkeeping and general information only and are not investment, tax, legal, or accounting advice.
Transactions and Accounts
Create asset, liability, income, and expense accounts and record amounts, descriptions, notes, currencies, and transfers.
Reports and Budgets
Review monthly, date-range, and account reports and set monthly or yearly budgets to follow changes in income and spending.
Recurring Entries and Reminders
Create recurring entries for regular transactions and receive local notifications on your device according to your reminder settings.
Import and Organization
Depending on version and region, use account imports, invoice imports, reusable descriptions, and other batch organization features.
Personal Ledgers
Core personal-ledger data is stored on your device by default. Personal ledgers are suitable for bookkeeping on one device or for users who prefer to manage backups themselves. Depending on the app version and system support, local backups, iCloud Drive, or Dropbox may be available.
Before changing devices, importing data, or making extensive changes, create an independent backup and confirm that the backup file is accessible.
Shared Ledgers
Shared ledgers allow friends, family members, colleagues, or other invited participants to use the same ledger. Shared data synchronizes across participant devices through Apple iCloud and CloudKit. Participants do not have to belong to the same Apple Family Sharing group.
- Each device keeps a local copy of shared ledger data and synchronizes when access requirements are met and a network connection is available.
- Content added, modified, or deleted by a participant may synchronize to other participant devices.
- After recurring entries synchronize, each device creates its own local notifications according to the reminder data.
- Shared ledgers require an active subscription, an available iCloud account, and a network connection. Synchronization speed may be affected by Apple service status.
- Some management, backup, and attachment features differ between shared and personal ledgers. Refer to the features currently shown in the app.
Versions and Feature Availability
Different MyAsset versions may offer different advertising, subscription, backup, import, and sharing features. Availability may also vary by device, iOS version, region, and third-party service status. Before purchasing or subscribing, refer to the features, prices, and descriptions displayed in the app.
Data Safety Recommendations
- Create independent backups regularly and confirm that they remain accessible.
- Keep the original ledger and a backup before a large import, device migration, or shared-ledger conversion.
- Invite only people you trust to a shared ledger and remember that participant changes and deletions may synchronize.
- Use a device passcode and protect your Apple, Dropbox, and other accounts.
System Requirements and Support
MyAsset supports iOS 15 or later. Some newer features may require a more recent system version. For help with data, synchronization, subscriptions, or app usage, email [email protected] and include your device model, iOS version, app version, and a screenshot of the issue.
